Organizing Video Conference with the University of Malta

In cooperation with the International Relations Office, the Faculty of Media and the International Youth Exchange Program (Zajel), the Public Relations Department, organized a video conference with the University of Malta in which students and professors from both sides participated.
The conference discussed the recent updates and developments with respect to the Palestinian cause. The meeting was administered by Dr. Carmen Sammut, Visiting Professor from the University of Malta to An-Najah. The participants discussed the current situation in Palestine and its implications and impact on the future of the Palestinian cause. Speakers in the conference included: Mr. Shafeeq Jamous, Lecturer at the Faculty of Law at An-Najah, Mr. Pierre Wezfil, a volunteer in the Enlightenment Forum in Nablus, and Mr. Sa’ed Abu Hijleh, Lecturer of Geography at An-Najah.
Dr. Sammut spoke in her speech about the importance of the meeting between An-Najah and Malta University and thanked all those who supported this activity which helps in developing communication between students and academics in different countries.
She also said that the conference enabled the students of international relations at the University of Malta to get more acquainted with the latest development on the Palestinian scene. The students expressed their happiness to participate in the event which made them more aware of the situation in Palestine. Dr. Sammut invited the students at the University of Malta to take part in the activities organized by Zajel to get closer to the daily life of the Palestinians.
Dr. Dr Isabelle Calleja Ragonesi, Head of the International Relations Department, spoke about the importance of organizing the video conference and its role in providing a channel of communication between the two universities through which information about the Palestinian cause and situation is delivered to the students at the University of Malta.
