The Image of the Palestinian Uprising in the Western Cartoons
In its efforts to exchange ideas and thoughts with the west, Zajel Youth Exchange Program / Public Relations Department organized gallery on the image of Al-Aqsa Uprising in the American Cartoons, the mission of organizing this gallery is to enable the university students and educators to get an idea about the western media and its impact on public.
The Public Relations Department issued a book titled: Al-Aqsa Uprising in Cartoons (Palestinian Perspective) in order to show the other face of the situation. This book contains more than 100 Palestinian cartoon which were painted by local Palestinian artist, Baha Al-Bukhari who is living in the heart of the conflict and not overseas.Cartoons have been selected from variety of the most popular western cartoonists. Such cartoons were able to distort the Palestinian struggle for freedom and independence.
