On Sunday, February 28th, 2016, Trainer Lauren Worth, volunteer at the International Youth Exchange Programme (Zajel) of the Public Relations Department at An-Najah concluded the “English for Travel and Tourism” training workshop.

The workshop aimed at developing students’ skills to manage affordable tourism, educational and cultural travels by using online systems.

The workshop shed light on planning a trip overseas; picking a destination, booking flight and hotel online, applying for a visa, reading subway maps, getting around the city and different activities available overseas. Students got practice ordering at a restaurant and using websites to check prices of flights and hotels.

In addition to that, the trainer developed a travel resource guide that the students can refer to when they plan a trip.

Student Hala Salamah said that the online booking method allows various social classes to travel around the world on cheap flights.

The workshop included 15 credit hours and was attended by 140 students.
