A Training Course on Creative and Interactive Conversation in English is Successfully Concluded
On May 29th, a training course on creative and interactive conversation in English was successfully concluded at the University. The course was part of a series of training courses organized by the University-based International Youth Exchange Program (Zajel) and the Office of the University President Assistant for Graduate Affairs.
More than 25 students from the University participated in the course which was administered by the international volunteer Maryoline Mashers who trained the students on interactive conversation, practicing language, employing imagination methods, talking about global events, assuming roles in acting and mythology in training.
Raghad Al-Kukhun, a student from the Faculty of Arts, said the course was very useful to her and that it encouraged the students to develop their English skills and their personalities through practical use of the language. Other students mentioned that the course helped them acquire more skills and experience in English conversation which would help them in their after-graduation job-seeking period.
This course is based on the necessity to train the University’s students on a variety of skills related to English which are most needed at the workplace. Having advanced English skills can maximize the graduates’ chances of finding a job. The training courses that the Zajel Program and the Office of the University President Assistant for Graduate Affairs hold are of vital importance to the University’s students since such course offer training in a variety of fields.
